I want to tell you why the United States can never succeed in bringing peace to the earth. Because it is going about it in a way completely opposed to God's way. Remember, in 1John 2:17 says: The world is passing away. Nothing can save it, not even the United States and the United Nations organization. There is only one way that lasting peace and security will be brought to this earth through God's kingdom in the hands of Jesus Christ. This is the real government in heaven for which Jesus taught his followers to pray. This prayer is for praying for his kingdom to come. This is in Matthew 6:9,10. The United States and the United Nations could never bring peace and security because it is a part of this wicked evil world, and inherits its weaknesses. 1John 5:19. And Satan's influence dooms its efforts. Revelation 12:12. And it is trying to save the old earth, which is against God's purposes. 1John 2:17. A conflict over world domination is impending. Man has made a failure of human government. And also, I want to bring to your attention is this. When disasters of all kinds hit, destroying property and claiming lives, many cannot understand why such terrible things happen. Others are troubled by the extent, cruelty, and wantonness of crime and violence. You too may have wondered, why does God permit suffering? Because they have found no satisfactory answer to this question, many have lost faith in God. They feel that he is not interested in mankind. Others who accept suffering as a fact of life become embittered and blame God for all the evil in human society. The Bible assures us that the suffering we see around us is not caused by Jehovah God. For instance, the Christian disciple James wrote in James 1:13 he said: When under trial, let no one say: I am being tried by God. For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. That being so, God could not have caused the numerous hardships plaguing mankind. He does not bring trials upon people to make them fit for life in heaven, nor does he make people suffer for evil deeds they supposedly committed in a past life. Romans 6:7. In addition, even many terrible things have been done in the name of God or of Christ, there is nothing in the Bible to suggest that either of them has ever approved of such actions. Jehovah God and Jesus Christ have nothing to do with those who claim to serve them but who cheat and swindle, kill and plunder, and do many other things that cause human suffering. To remain in God's favor, Adam and Eve would have to refraim from eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and bad. Genesis 2:16,17. If they had obeyed Jehovah's law, there would have been no old age, sickness, all kinds of diseases, crime, violence, threat of a Nuclear World War 3, in other words, nothing bad. We would have been perfect. Everything would have been perfect. By obeying God's command, they would have demonstrated their love for Jehovah and their loyalty to him. 1John 5:3. But as we learned, things did not turn out that way. Urged by Satan, Eve ate the fruit from that tree. Later, Adam also partook of the forbidden fruit. Do you see the seriousness of what happened? And now, Satan the Devil is the god of this world. He is called the ruler of this whole world. 2Corinthians 4:4, John 12:31. Indeed, the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one. 1John 5:19. What, then, does the Bible reveal concerning God's permission of wickedness? The answer to that question is this. Wickedness and suffering are not caused by Jehovah. Since Satan is the ruler of this world and the god of this system of things, he and those on his side are responsible for the present condition of human society and all the misery that mankind has suffered. No one can rightly say that God is the cause of such hardship. Romans 9:14. Jehovah's permitting wickedness and suffering has proved that independence from God has not brought about a better world. In fact, history has been marked by one disaster after another. Finally, Jehovah' s allowing wickedness and suffering to continue has provided proof that only Jehovah, the Creator, has the ability and the right to rule over mankind. And he will. We look forward when the king Jesus Christ will take action against Satan and all who follow him. Revelation 20:1-3. Mankind has always desired a government that would ensure peace and happiness. Yet, strenuous efforts to repair the breakdowns in society have not been truly successful. A great many peace treaties have been made and then broken. This proves exactly what Jehovah God have said many times over, and that is, man's rule is beyond repair. Keep in mind, that in the book of Revelation, in his vision of the very shortly return of Christ, John saw a time of incredible human suffering and tribulation. As bad as other periods of history have been, they are nothing compared to what will come. America clearly do not understand history. And worse, they are totally ignorant of Bible prophecy. Remember, A dreadful, horrendous time is just around the corner now. And Jehovah God is the Divine One telling from the beginning the finale, and from long ago the things that have not been done. Isaiah 46:10. He is able to take on as an opponent any world power that exists today, no matter how mightily armed with nuclear weapons it may be. In the sixth century B.C.E. he took on the Babylonian world power, which was mercilessly oppressing his witnesses. Before that, he took on another attacker of his witnesses, namely, the Assyrian world power, and sent what was left of its invading armies reeling back to its capital city Nineveh in military disgrace. From the very time that man went wrong and set out on a course of self government independent of his heavenly Father, Jehovah God has thought about a world government as the only solution to mankind's troubles and problems. He immediately counseled in favor of such a global government, with himself as the Supreme Governor. He is the Governor who knows the end from the beginning. The time for the greatest change of all human experience is at hand. The time of the end is now about to close for the nations. Its grand finale is in a time of distress the equal of which the nations have never before experienced nor will again go through. Concerning that time of universal war it is said to Jehovah's Field Marshal, Jesus Christ. In Psalms 110:5,6 it says: Jehovah himself at your right hand will certainly break kings to pieces on the day of his anger. He will execute judgment among the nations, he will cause a fullness of dead bodies. He will certainly break to pieces the head one over a populous land. The head one of every populous land will lie crushed among a fullness of dead bodies. Can we doubt it that this day of his anger will be a most turbulent time? The apostle Peter calls attention to the noisiness of that time of unparallele world distress during which the long established institutions of mankind undergo dissolution as if by the fire of a nuclear furnace. Writing, not to worldlings, but to Christians who may expect to witness these things and survive Peter says, in 2Peter 3:10-13: Yet Jehovah's day will come as a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a hissing noise, but the elements being intensely hot will be dissolved, and earth and the works in it will be discovered. Since all these things are to be dissolved, what sort of persons ought you to be in holy acts of conduct and deeds of godly devotion, awaiting and keeping close in mind the presence of the day of Jehovah, through which the heavens being on fire will be dissolved and the elements being intensely hot will melt. But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell. Who is going to kindle that all consuming fire that will rage all around this globe? Not the six or more nuclear powered nations by the detonating of their overstock of bombs and missiles in surprise attacks on one another. No, but Jehovah God the Creator of all the earth. The time of blazing conflagration will be the day of Jehovah. The prolong sound, like that of escaping steam under pressure, may increase to a roaring as the governmental heavens crash in ruins. The heat of God's anger will be expressed so intensely against this evil wicked system of things under Satan's control, that it will be liguefied, as it were, losing stability internal cohesiveness. The elements, that circumambient spirit that surrounds the earth and motivates earth's inhabitants in general, will lose whatever coolness and equanimity that it has had. Under the fiery indignation of Jehovah's day, that elemental spirit will get hot to white heat and will fire the people to wild acts of confused thinking, to violent lawless fighting among themselves for self survival. Well, then, could the earth that is to be destroyed mean our globe? No, it pictures human society according to the way it carries on under this system of things. Men have built up their economic systems on selfishness and, rather than bring peace and security, a situation that threatens disastrous consequences has now developed. Sooner or later men reap what they sow, even as the Bible points out in Galatians 6:7 it says: Do not be misled. God is not one to be mocked. For whatever a man is sowing, this he will also reap. And never forget that, no matter how sincere men may be or how influential and powerful they may be as world leaders, they are all dying creatures. Unable to save themselves, how can they save others. What lies immediately ahead, and what does the Prince of Peace face? Jesus had the apostle John make this significant reference to Har-Magedon, or Armageddon. Megiddo was a place where decisive battles were fought. Logically, then, Armageddon would be the battlefield to which all the worldly nations of today would march under the inciting forces described at Revelation 16:13,14. Armageddon signifies a world situation that involves a decisive war. Jesus and Jehovah is not trying to single out any particular king and his military forces to strike them down singly and finish off the enemy forces piecemeal. What he is doing is, he is allowing them sufficient time to mass together and to unify their forces to the greatest military potential. His bold purpose is to take all of them on at the same time. The United States and the UN represents the rejection of the kingdom of Jehovah God through the promised seed of Abraham and so will be destroyed in the war of the great day of God the Almighty, Armageddon. Today the violence earth wide outrivals that of Noah's time over 4,000 years ago. The whole entire book of the Bible has shown that Almighty God has never lost a fight or battle. But the time is just around the corner now when he will militarily fight for his devoted servants of modern times. Jehovah's response is also foretold at Zechariah 14:3. In the name of Jehovah, he and the heavenly armies of myriads of angels plunge into the battle, as if riding upon war horses. Jude 14,15 and Revelation 19:11-16 The royal Field Marshal, Jesus Christ, leads the heavenly armies in a victorious charge against all the combined enemies at Armageddon. Remember, Armageddon refers to God's war by which he destroys this evil wicked world. Who will fight on God's side? God's people and his servants on earth will not need to take part in Armageddon at all. In 2Chronicles 20:15 Jehovah says: The battle is not yours but God's. Fighting on the side of Jehovah will be Jesus Christ and all the armies in heaven. Christ will lead heavenly armies of powerful angels. The Bible gives us a symbolic picture of Christ on a white horse leading heaven's armies to battle at Armageddon. In Revelation 19:11-15 it says: The heaven opened, and, look a white horse. And one seated upon it is called Faithful and True,and he judges and carries on war in righteousness. His eyes are a fiery flame, and upon his head are many diadems. He has a name written that no one knows but he himself, and he is arrayed with an outer garment sprinkled with blood, and the name he is called is The Word of God. Also the armies that were in heaven were following him on white horses, and they were clothed in white, clean, fine linen. And out of his mouth there protrudes a sharp long sword, that he may smite the nations with it, and he will shepherd them with a rod of iron. Christ is at the very front. This means that the king is certain of victory. Jesus Christ, the King of Kings, rides a white horse. This means that Christ's cause is a righteous one, for the Bible says of him: You loved righteousness and hated lawlessness. Hebrews 1:9. The angels that follow Christ to battle are all clothed in white, meaning that there is not a chance of any unrighteousness taking place at Armageddon. A sword comes out of Christ's mouth. This means that when Jesus Christ gives the command to his army to destroy, it shall be done. The action then will be sharp and quick,and of the result there will be no doubt. Victory is certain. The rod of iron is for breaking up the Devil's world. Jesus christ will dash the nations to pieces, just as the Bible foretold in Psalm 2:9. When will Armageddon be fought? Jehovah the great timekeeper has scheduled Armageddon to come at the close of the time of the end. And that time is just around the corner now. How near? No one knows the day and hour. In Matthew 24:36 Jesus said: Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, but only the Father. God has set the date for this world to come to its end. We know that Armageddon is around the corner because in Matthew 24:33,34 Jesus said: Likewise also you, when you see all these things, know that he is near at the doors. Truly I say to you that this generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur. Jesus Christ is saying that the generation of people living when the time of the end began would not pass away before Armageddon breaks out. This also means that the people alive since 1914 who will still be living when it is time for Armageddon to begin. But most people laugh at the warning of Armageddon. It is as Jesus said in Matthew 13:15 he said: They have shut their eyes, that they might never see with their eyes and hear with their ears and get the sense of it with their hearts. Their eyes are shut. Their ears are shut. Their mind are closed. Only their mouths are open to scoff and laugh at the sign of the time of the end and the warning message now being sounded. So Armageddon overtakes the people of this world just as a thief surprises a household at night. Jesus apostle wrote in 1Thessalonians 5:2,6 it says: So, then, let us not sleep on as the rest do, but let us stay awake. Now Gog is the name for Satan the Devil. Now stirred up to the greatest anger by an all out attack on his own people, Jehovah goes into action. Jehovah says: I will summon every kind of terror against Gog and all the people that is with him. Ezekiel 38:21. Jehovah gives Christ the king the command to destroy the Devil's wicked world. How? with every kind of terror. The Bible tells us what some of these terrors will be. Says Jehovah: I will rain upon him (Gog the Devil), and upon his hordes, and upon the many peoples that are with him, an overflowing shower, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Great will be the terror at Armageddon. Every kind of terror will be used to destroy this evil world, cloudbursts, lashing rains, overflowing floods, earthquakes, giant hailstones and a rain of fire. There will be terror on the land, terror in the sea and terror in the air. With shocking surprise Armageddon will catch all those persons that is not for God's kingdom. Telling us of the terror of the people at Armageddon, the Bible says in Isaiah 13:6-8 The day of Jehovah is at hand, as destruction from the Almighty shall it come. Therefore shall all hands be feeble, and every heart of man shall melt: and they shall be dismayed, pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them, they shall be in pain as a woman in travail: they shall look in amazement one at another, their faces shall be faces of flame. Soul chilling terror will spread through the masses of people so that they will lose control of themselves, they will begin killing one another. On that day a great panic from the Lord (Jehovah) shall fall on them, so that each will lay hold on the hand of his fellow, and the hand of the one will be raised against the hand of the other. Zechariah 14:13 Then every man's sword shall be against his brother. Ezekiel 38:21. But their selfish fight to live will be all in vain. Those who escape being killed by their neighbors will be destroyed by God's heavenly armies. Christ's angels will smite all the opposers of God's kingdom and his kingdom witnesses with a terrible destruction. A flesh eating plague will destroy many. In Zechariah 14:12 Jehovah says: Their flesh shall rot while they are still on their feet, their eyes shall rot in their sockets, and their tongues shall rot in their mouths. Eaten up will be the tongues of those who scoffed and laughed at the warning of Armageddon. Eaten up will be the eyes of those who refused to see the sign of the time of the end. Eaten up will be the flesh of those who would not learn that the living and true God is named Jehovah. Eaten up while they stand on their feet. Where can people hide from this destruction coming from Jehovah God? Nowhere. Jehovah said in Amos 9:1-3 Jehovah said: Not one of them shall escape. Though they dig into Sheol, from there shall my hand take them, though they climb up to heaven, from there I will bring them down. Though they hide themselves on the top of Mount Carmel, from there I will search out and take them, and though they hide from my sight at the bottom of the sea, there I will command the serpent, and it shall bite them. Closed will be all avenues of escape. Wherever they flee God will find them and destroy them. Gone then will be the power of money. The governments that print money will collapse in destruction. Even if some persons have gold and silver it will not buy them protection. In Zephaniah 1:18 Jehovah God says: Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of Jehovah's wrath. Dead bodies will be everywhere from end to end of the earth. In Jeremiah 25:29,33 Jehovah says: I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth. Ungathered, unburied, unwept for, the bodies will be like so much fertilizer on the ground, just as the Bible says: The slain of Jehovah shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth.
